Subject: Nice show. Mic setup
Nice pull, thanks!
Update: Thanks for the config. info. I need to try ORTF with mine. I have the older Silver series too, and looking at ordering the hypercaps this month.
Subject: Best show of 2016 so far!
I couldn't understand most of the words to Andrew's new song "All Around the World", but it had a catchy beat which I enjoyed. I hope they put it into rotation, though with Todd on vocals.
This show is a perfect example of why RRE should play more covers & encourage more guest sit-ins. "Tonight I'll Be Staying Here with You" was great, and just listen to the crowd's eager anticipation during the first few notes of Springsteen's "Atlantic City" & their roar of approval afterwards!!
Too damn bad they cancelled (sorry--"rescheduled") the Denver shows. Bill Nershi was already on deck to open one of the shows...I bet fans would have loved & appreciated a night of "Nershi Earth"!
Kudos & thanks to the taper for another great pull!
Subject: mic configuration details
If allowed, I generally record FOB center at 7' just in front of the board or at the front of the riser just in front of the board; rarely in the sweet spot as that is not usually allowed.
The Belly Up is unique as taping locations are limited. The mics were 7' above the dance floor in front of me, FOB center, on a short on-stage mic stand sitting on a wide drink rail at my chest height. About 25 feet from the stage and not in the sweet spot.
Hope this helps.
